About Rock Face Minerals

All about Me

Well I'm Emma, a thirty something Mum of two, who's is currently trying to juggle a full time job with looking after the kids. I've set up Rock Face Minerals in the hope that I can be a "Mumpreneur" & run my own business whilst spending more time with my two lovely boys.
I've been a big fan of mineral makeup for years now; I started out using Bare Escentuals & then was an early customer of Lily Lolo. I spent over a year researching suppliers, & I eventually found a lovely lady in the States whose mineral products I really liked - & so Rock Face Minerals was born!

What's in a name?

For most of the Rock Face Minerals products, there's a story behind the name. It'll take a while to write it all out, but let's make a start.
First up is chocolate toffee one of the first eyeshadow shades I picked. Full title is Rileys Chocolate Toffee Rolls my Dad's favourite sweet of all time, sadly no longer produced. He thought that we didn't know about the quarter of RCTR's that he'd get when he picked up the Belfast Telegraph every evening, but the trail of burgundy sweet wrappers hidden in the car door, or down the back of his armchair gave him away.
Poochy Kitten is named after my sister's cat, Poochy O'Leary (all my sister's pets have had grand names). And finally for now, as the ironing must be done, ballyholme bay, named in honour of the place I grew up, Bangor, Co.Down - by the seaside of course, & a lovely marina to boot.
